Season 2 Episode 3 – You’ll Never Get Avay From Me

Bree\'­s mother-in-law, Phyllis (guest star Shirley Knight), gets her in trouble with the law, Susan tries bravely to accept Edie\'­s new role in Julie\'­s life, Lynette\'­s demanding boss (guest star Joely Fisher) makes her miss Parker\'­s first day of kindergarten.

Season 2 Episode 2 – You Could Drive a Person Crazy

Susan is surprised, and not pleasantly so, when she finds out who Edie\'s new boyfriend is---her ex-husband Karl. Meanwhile Lynette goes back to work, leaving Tom at home in charge of the house, which turns out to be a better plan in theory. Lynette has a problem of getting Tom to keep the house clean on a more daily basis. Bree\'s mother-in-law, Phyllis (guest star Shirley Knight), continues to drive Bree crazy with her melodramatic grieving in public places, and Carlos makes an unusual request to Gabrielle after his life is threatened behind bars.

Season 2 Episode 1 – Next

The second season picks up where the first left off. Rex is dead, and, new neighbors, the Applewhites have moved in. Gabrielle, Lynette, and Susan attempt to comfort Bree while Phyllis, Rex\'s mother, arrives on Wisteria Lane. Meanwhile Mike and Susan deal with Zach while Gabrielle struggles with the two men in her life.

Season 1 Episode 23 – One WonderfulDay

Gabrielle, Susan, and Lynette rush to the hospital in the middle of the night after receiving a phone call from Danielle telling them about Rex\'s heart attack. Before his operation, Rex apologizes for being a bad husband. Lynette\'s marriage takes a dramatic turn after an upset Tom, who accidentally quit his job under false pretenses due to Lynette\'s manipulation, vows that it is now her turn to go back to work and he\'ll be staying home with the kids. Carlos finally learns about Gabrielle\'s affair and vows revenge. We learn the truth about Mary Alice\'s suicide.

Season 1 Episode 22 – Goodbye for Now

Susan and Mike decide to move in together, much to Edie\'s displeasure. Edie uses Susan\'s friends to scheme against her and Mike. Meanwhile, Lynette takes steps to make sure Annabel (guest-star Melinda McGraw) doesn\'t come between her and Tom. The consequences land Tom out of work. Bree comes to a realization about her \"buddy\", George the pharmacist (guest-star Roger Bart), who continues to interfere in her and Rex\'s lives. Rex has another heart attack. Prior to it, it seems George has permanently thrown a wrench in Bree and Rex\'s relationship. Carlos\' legal problems take a turn for the worst and Gabrielle decides to leave him after discovering the truth about the birth control.

Season 1 Episode 21 – Sunday in the Park with George

George Williams (guest-star Roger Bart) continues to worm his way into Bree\'s life. After Edie spies Bree with George at a restaurant, Bree begins to feel guilty about sharing her intimate feelings with George. Rex\'s health continues to depreciate. Lynette tries to spice things up with Tom, who she fears is losing interest in her. Meanwhile, Mr. Shaw consults with Paul, and ends up lying to Susan about Mary Alice and Dana. However, he does come through with the goods on Mike, but Susan is not convinced that Mike is a bad guy.

Season 1 Episode 20 – Fear No More

Gabrielle plans a big party to bid farewell to Carlos, who is about to head off to jail for eight months. Meanwhile George Williams (guest star Roger-Bart) resurfaces in Bree\'s life, much to Rex\'s displeasure, as he knows George wants to steal her away from him. Also, Lynette is shocked to learn that Tom\'s old girlfriend, Annabel Foster (guest-star Melinda McGraw), who he dumped for Lynette, has been hired at his firm again. A desperate Lynette turns to Edie for advice on how to deal with the situation. Susan and Julie encounter less-than-neighborly behavior from the Young family as Zach continues to stalk Julie. Paul interrogates Edie about breaking into his house and she ends up telling him that Susan was behind it. Paul decides to lie to Susan again in order to cover.

Season 1 Episode 19 – Live Alone and Like It

Lynette learns that no good deed goes unpunished when she momentarily befriends the mean Mrs. McClusky. Susan\'s mother (guest-star Lesley Ann Warren) decides to try and jump start her and Susan\'s love lives. Susan later finds her mother in her kitchen with a man she picked up, and Susan asks her mother to get rid of him. Andrew talks to a priest about his feelings, and tells him of his shocking plans for his mother, Bree. Gabrielle has her credit card declined in an upscale restaurant and Carlos sends Gabrielle a big message about what will happen if she leaves him. Gabrielle tells John that she still cares for him and continues to sleep with him.

Season 1 Episode 18 – Children Will Listen

Susan\'s mom, Sophie (guest-star Lesley Ann Warren), pays an unannounced visit to Wisteria Lane after she and her boyfriend (guest-star Bob Newhart) call it quits. Meanwhile, Gabrielle faces Carlos\' wrath after he learns about the hospital settlement and tries to change their prenuptial agreement in order to keep Gabrielle in check while he is in jail. Lynette and Bree experience a chill in their friendship after Bree babysits Lynette\'s kids and dares to discipline Porter. Also, Bree and Rex visit Andrew at the teen rehab camp and learn some shocking news about their son. Lastly, Felicia gets closer to Zach and reveals some disturbing details about his family\'s past.

Season 1 Episode 17 – There Won’t be Trumets

There\'s a change in Mama Solis\' (guest-star Lupe Ontiveros) condition for the better as she finally wakes up from her coma, but it doesn\'t last long. The residents of Wisteria Lane all attend the unfortunate funeral of Juanita Solis as Carlos and Gabrielle fret over their financial and court issues. Lynette befriends a deaf woman, Alisa Stevens (guest-star Marlee Matlin), whose children also attend Barcliff Academy with Porter and Preston. However, Lynette\'s newfound friendship is tested when she discovers that Alisa\'s husband is saying thing\'s behind the deaf woman\'s back.
